Ganesha Short stories: Parvati teaches lesson to Ganesha

It was beautiful Day in Kailash. Lord Ganesha lived with his parents ( Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati) on Mountain Kailash.The weather was very pleasant that day and flowers were blossoming around. Lord Ganesha came there but he was not in the mood to admire the beauty of nature. Ganesha was feeling bored as no one was there to play with him.His parents were busy in their work.He started throwing stones in the pond, chasing butterflies but soon got bored of it. He was thinking what to do next when he heard cats sound. He thought he had got a companion to play with. He started playing with a cat. He holds cat's tail and started troubling the cat. The cat yelled but Ganesha continued doing so as he was enjoying the noise made by the cat. After playing for a long time with the cat, Ganesha got bored and allowed the cat to run. He thought his mother might be free to play with him.

When he reached home and saw that his mother he was shocked as she was fully covered with mud and having scratches all over the body. He felt bad and became furious at this condition of his mother.He asked Parvati that who has done this to her. She refused to tell initially but on repeated pressure by Ganesha she revealed that it was done by Ganesha. Ganesha was stunned. He said that he could not even think of doing so to her. Parvati told that he only did it . She explained that Ganesha pulled his tail, put mud on her body etc. As Parvati told, Ganesha remembered the cat and released what his mother was trying to explain and  felt sorry.He promised not to repeat the same again.
